Who we are

The Australian Bach Society Inc. was founded in November 2011 as initiative of the German Lutheran Trinity Church East Melbourne to provide a platform for ‘Bach@Trinity 2012 – An International Bachfest’, which we celebrated as part of the international event ‘Reformation and Music’.

Our mission

Our mission is to cultivate and disseminate a local appreciation of the music of J.S. Bach, his family and contemporaries, as well as sacred/classical music in general by arranging performances, lectures and other activities.

Our objectives

  2. Support talented young musicians in various ways
  3. Facilitate the musical relationship between Melbourne and Leipzig and exchange programs
